French Bulldog Festival – A Dog Event Success!

Last updated on

What a barkin’ beautiful day at the French Bulldog Festival we participated in last Sunday, 25th May 2025 at Luddenham Showground. It was a dog’s day indeed!

The sun was bright and furry little butts were wiggling everywhere. Yummy food filled the air as we celebrated our sweet Frenchies and the humans who love them so much.

Fun, furry, and fabulous day

Gates opened at 10AM and suddenly there were paws everywhere, pet parents trying to keep up, and maybe a few paws already halfway to the food trucks.

What’s a dog day out without games to cause a little mayhem? The morning kicked off with some absolute crowd-pleasers.

The Doggie Dash Races, where zoomies ruled the track, were an instant hit. Dog Got Talent definitely blew us away too! We could’ve sworn we saw a dog do a spin on command and sneeze on cue.

The Sit & Stay Challenge had us giggling from the start. Over at the Fastest Tail Wag and Best Bork, every dog got a chance to wiggle and howl.

The real show-stopper is the Dog Biscuit Eating Contest. Let’s just say, some dogs had zero self-control (and we loved it). Who wants to behave when there are biscuits on the line, anyway?

Who says grumpy can’t be cute? This Frenchie is ready to throw paws at the Knose booth!

Frenchie chic takes the stage

We have to give a round of ap-paws to the French Bulldogs. They absolutely stole the show at Luddenham.

The Frenchie Costume Parade and Frolic Races were a pure joy to watch. What a treat to see dogs of every color and age confidently strutting their stuff.

We had one pup channeling their inner amphibian as a frog, while another went full animated villain sidekick as a Minion. Turns out the myth that dogs don’t enjoy dressing up just got chewed up.

Later in the day, fun was in full blast with the Prettiest Male & Female Frenchie awards. These compact little dogs brought flair, fashion, and enough charisma to power the whole dog show.

The Strike a Paws Fancy Dress contest delivered even more style, sass, and plenty of giggles. And we can’t forget the Licki Mat Challenge, those tongues worked harder than a dog chasing the ice cream truck! All that licking deserves a treat… and maybe a quick dental check too.

And of course, no dog parade is complete without the Cutest Puppy and Cutest Dog competitions. The collective squeals and “awws” from the crowd said it all. Every pup was a winner, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Knose, dogs, and even more fun

Throughout the day, Knose Pet Insurance was on-site with a little photo tent full of props waiting for dogs to strike a pose. We loved seeing so many dogs pop in for bops, attention, and their close-up.

It was cuddles, camera, action all day at the French Bulldog Festival. And with our pet insurance having your back, there was no stress if your dog played a little too hard or zoomed into a bush or two.

In between photo ops and pup-friendly chaos, there was plenty to enjoy for the humans too. Delicious food stalls served up amazing treats while lemonade that honestly deserved its own award kept everyone refreshed.

We came, we saw, we got covered in fur. It was an absolute blast from start to finish. Safe to say the French Bulldog Festival one topped the charts on our best-day-ever list.
