Sydney threw a scorcher at us, but the holiday spirit won out. The Penrith Twilight Markets brought families, furry friends, and plenty of festive cheer to kick off the holiday season properly.
It is indeed a magical night of markets, food, and fun!
Shopping and fun all around
The market buzzed with that perfect summer Christmas energy. Colourful stalls lined every corner, with shoppers on two legs and four. Dogs rested in the shade, tongues out, while their humans browsed handmade crafts and picked up last minute gifts.

This time of the year puts our pets to the test. The heat creeps up fast, especially in Western Sydney where concrete holds onto every degree. We saw plenty of smart pet parents carrying water bowls and taking shade breaks. (We’ve rounded up hot weather hacks for pets!)
Knose’s “Naughty or Nice” scanner quickly became a favourite. Pet parents queued with their dogs and cats, laughing about where their little ones might land on Santa’s list. The excitement was infectious!
Everyone had a great time, no matter what the scanner said. Perfectly behaved or cheeky troublemakers, we love them all the same.
Pet community, connection and a whole lot of joy
The real highlight was watching the pet community come together. Strangers bonding, kids giggling, and photos snapped and shared on the spot.
These events remind us so much of why we do this work. Pet care goes beyond vet visits. We’re here for the chaos, the laughs, the way our pets bring people together on a sticky December evening.
