Behind every happy, healthy pet, there are veterinary professionals, nurses, and technologists who dedicate their lives to ensuring our beloved animals receive the best care possible.
At Knose, everything we do begins with one simple belief: that pet care should be simple, accessible, and built on genuine compassion. We want to make life easier for the entire Australian pet care community.
That’s why Knose is proud to be a Silver Sponsor of the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia’s (VNCA) Veterinary Nurse & Technologist Awareness Week 2025 (VNTAW).
This annual initiative celebrates the invaluable contributions of veterinarians, nurses, and technologists across Australia. They stand at the heart of every veterinary practice, with compassion and skill to improve the lives of animals and their families.
For Knose, this sponsorship is a meaningful cause deeply aligned with our mission. Supporting VNCA’s Awareness Week means helping to highlight the dedication and adaptability of vet nurses and technologists who go above and beyond for their patients every single day.
This year’s campaign is fully online, allowing clinics and individuals across Australia to participate, connect, and celebrate together. This week brings the veterinary community together in gratitude, learning, and pride.
About the VNCA and Awareness Week
The Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia (VNCA) is the professional body that represents veterinary nurses and technologists across the country. Since its founding, VNCA has been committed to supporting, representing, and empowering these vital professionals.
Through advocacy, education, and community initiatives, the VNCA works tirelessly to raise industry standards, improve workplace wellbeing, and celebrate excellence in the field.
Veterinary Nurse & Technologist Awareness Week (VNTAW) is one of VNCA’s flagship events. Held every October, it’s a nationwide initiative that shines a light on the critical roles these professionals play in animal healthcare.
It aims to acknowledge the passion, dedication, and expertise that keep veterinary practices running smoothly and pets living healthier, happier lives. In 2025, VNTAW ran from Monday 6 to Friday 10 October, culminating in World Veterinary Nurse & Technologist Day.
This Year’s Theme: Transforming the Profession – Empowering the Future
Each year, VNCA chooses a theme that captures the spirit and challenges of the profession. For 2025, that theme is “Transforming the Profession – Empowering the Future.”
This theme recognises the leadership and innovation of veterinary nurses and technologists. They are transforming not only how veterinary care is delivered but also how the profession defines itself. Veterinary nurses and technologists are shaping a smarter, more compassionate future for animal care.
Through “Transforming the Profession – Empowering the Future”, VNCA honours the innovation by celebrating those who are not just keeping pace with change but driving it.
How VNCA Engaged the Community
One of the hallmarks of VNTAW is its inclusive and interactive approach. The online campaign allowed veterinary nurses, technologists, and clinics across Australia to get involved, share their stories, and celebrate their achievements in creative ways.
In 2025, VNCA’s Empowering the Future Competition became a central highlight of the week. Each day presented a unique theme encouraging participants to post on social media, from sharing personal stories to celebrating achievements, and injecting a little humour into the week.
Participants were encouraged to tag #VNTAW2025, #myVNCA, and #EmpoweringFuture, helping to spread awareness across the country and fill social media feeds with positivity, gratitude, and pride for the profession.
Daily Posting Topics:

- Day 3 – Then and Now: Reflect on an “old school” method that’s now outdated, or share a throwback from your early days in the industry.

Clinics were invited to decorate their workplaces, host mini-morning teas, and share stories of their own professional journeys. VNCA provided free downloadable posters, digital assets, and the “I am proud” logo, which veterinary nurses and technologists could display in their clinics or use in social media posts to showcase their role in empowering the future.
To tie the week together, Veterinary Nurses & Technologists Appreciation Day on Friday 10 October encouraged clinics to host events that recognise their staff’s hard work and dedication. Many shared photos online, showing clinics filled with balloons, cupcakes, and plenty of proud smiles.
Why Knose is Involved
At Knose, we believe in supporting the people behind every wag, purr, and happy pet visit.
Veterinary nurses and technologists are the quiet heroes of every clinic. They monitor treatments, comfort anxious pets, educate owners, and bring compassion to every interaction. Recognising their work acknowledges the very foundation of animal healthcare.
Knose’s mission, to make pet care simple, transparent, and accessible, is made possible by the dedication of veterinary professionals. Partnering with VNCA reinforces our commitment to building a healthier, more connected pet care ecosystem.
As a Silver Sponsor, Knose helps VNCA continue to provide educational resources, foster professional development, and advocate for the wellbeing of veterinary nurses and technologists nationwide.
It also aligns with Knose’s broader commitment to the veterinary community. We aim to simplify insurance and subscription solutions for pet owners by developing tools that help clinics run more efficiently. We believe that when vet teams thrive, pets and their families benefit too.
