A vet’s calling

Amelia Bunker’s journey into the realm of veterinary medicine sprouted from her profound attachment to animals and the unique tales each one tells.

Graduating with her Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) from the University of Sydney in 2012 was merely the beginning of what would become a deeply fulfilling profession.

Journey through veterinary medicine

After comple­ting her BVSc degree­, Amelia gained expe­rience working at a small animal vete­rinary hospital on the Central Coast for seve­ral years. Embarking on a sea change­, she made­ the move to Griffith, NSW, where­ she worked in a mixed practice­ attending to both small and large animals. Upon returning to Sydne­y, Amelia transitioned into the role­ of Practice Manager on the North Shore­.

Wellness in every policy

In her role at Knose Pet Insurance, Dr. Amelia applies her extensive veterinary experience in a different capacity. She dedicates herself to crafting insurance plans that truly reflect the needs of pets and their families.

While she is at Knose, her passion for understanding animal behavior, tackling dermatological challenges, and keeping up with veterinary advancements hasn’t waned. Amelia’s love for pets goes beyond her professional life. She shares her home with a feline wonder, Olive, a Tonkinese cat. Olive is not just your normal feline wonder– she knows how to fetch and has somehow learned how to sit on command!
